BIOGRAPHY
Taylor Loftus is a professional movement artist. She started dancing at the tender age of 4 years old where she trained in the basics of ballet, modern, Tap, and jazz. As Taylor grew up, her dance training evolved to the more classical side of ballet where she ended up training as a pre-professional ballet dancer at the School of Ballet Arts in West Palm beach under the director of Deborha Marquez. Closely after training as a pre-professional, Taylor transitioned to Dance Town Miami under the direction of Many & Lory Castro where she focused on multiple different styles of dance morphing her classical ballet background to various styles in the dance realm, including ballroom, jazz, contemporary, postmodern techniques, commercial work, both contemporary ballet and classical, improvisation, along with counter technique. During this time Taylor trained under many professional dancers and well-known choreographers such as Benoit-Swan Pouffer, Talia Favia, Chaz Buzan, Stacey Tookie, Emma Portner, Manny Castro, Desmond Richardson, Richard Villaverde from Ballet X and many more. Taylor Loftus has also performed works from guest choreographers such as Juel D. Lane, Jennifer Archibald, Korhan Basaran, Taylor Rodman, and Keyaira Lockett from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she will be receiving her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (BFA) in May 2020.
